The prize is per winning team.The amount in reais is a reference. The payout goes out as 1,000 USDC, a token worth the same as a dollar, and a programmed contract releases it as soon as the jury confirms the winner. Evoke is funded on results, through Results-Based Financing (RBF): the money travels with what was actually delivered, and anyone can check that the payout went through. No crypto knowledge needed, the organizers set up the wallet with the teams on day one.

Evoke is a global network connecting young people, mentors and organisations. Its learning experience was born at the World Bank and runs on stories, games and team missions.

The Social Innovators’ Framework (SIF) works on creativity, collaboration, critical thinking and the capacity to act. Those skills get applied in projects created by the young people themselves, called Evokations.

The São Paulo edition takes place at USP Leste, with Lar Sírio Pró-Infância and Instituto Cória.

Do I need to study at USP?

No. The challenge is open to students and non-students aged 18 to 35, from any field. The event takes place at USP Leste, in São Paulo.

Do I need to know how to draw or use AI?

No prior experience is required. There is room for people who like writing, drawing, thinking about the theme, or who want to learn by building with a team.

Can I apply without a team?

Yes. Applications are individual and teams form at the event. You do not need to gather a group before applying.

What will we create?

A comic about work in the age of AI. The story runs up to chapter 3. Across 12 missions, teams build what comes next and present the work to an invited jury.

How much does it cost?

Applying is free. The event runs from September 25 to 27, 2026, at USP Leste: Friday from 6 pm to 9 pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 9 am to 6 pm.

How does the prize work?

The winning team receives R$ 5,000. The campaign also includes mentoring and the possibility of finishing the comic. The amount is per winning team, not per person.

How is the prize paid?

In 1,000 USDC, a token worth the same as a dollar. The amount in reais is the approximate equivalent on the date of the event. A programmed contract releases the payment as soon as the jury confirms the winner. The format comes from the way Evoke is funded, Results-Based Financing (RBF): funders put money behind results that were delivered and verified. Because the rule and the payment live in the same contract, anyone can check that the payout went through, and the team is not left waiting on anyone’s internal process. The World Bank documented this use in two reports, Blockchain Technology for Youth Empowerment and Value Exchange (2020) and Blockchain-Powered Transparent Results Financing and Incentivized Learning (2023), a case study of Evoke’s pilot in Colombia. You do not need to know anything about crypto, the organizers set up the wallet with each team on day one.
